Wanderung Sunday Hike from Lübeck to Ratzeburg (20km or 34km)

We start the hike through the historic city center of Lübeck to reach the river Wakenitz. We walk along the Wakenitz to Rothenhusen on the northern shore of the Great Ratzeburg Lake, which we reach after 20km. Here it is possible to finish the hike and take the boat to Ratzeburg. The ticket for the ship costs € 9.50, see https://bit.ly/2vYmPdv. After a picnic break, we continue the hike along the western shore of the lake to Ratzeburg.

This is easy terrain with good trails. The pace will not be too slow at about 5 km / h. Please remember to bring enough water and snacks. There is a cafe / restaurant in Rothenhusen, but also an nice picknick area.

We will meet in Hamburg Hauptbahnhof at 8:10 in front of the DB-Reisecenter to buy shared SH-tickets. Costs per person approx. 10€. If you own a HHV subscription card and can use the whole HVV area on weekends for free, it is the best option to buy a single train ticket from Bad Oldesloe to Lübeck.

Depature Hamburg-Hbf 8:27 am, arriving Lübeck Hbf 9:13 am
Depature Ratzeburg 18:30 pm, arriving Hamburg Hbf 19:39 pm (there ara ca. hourly connections from Ratzeburg)
